The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Fearing the Lord is not like our fears of the world.
Fearing the Lord means recognising His
holiness and divinity, and responding to Him with respect,
love, and
awe for who He is.
Fearing the Lord means not wanting to let Him down, and trusting and following Him because we know He is good
and
has our best interests at heart.
Fearing the Lord means having faith in His sovereignty and goodness, and that He has a good plan for our future, so we can
overcome our own worldly fears, our sin, and the sting of death.

Jesus is the fullness of God in human flesh, and over 2,000
years ago, He came to earth to defeat sin and death for us.
Born of a virgin Mary in Bethlehem,
Jesus authenticated His divinity through His miracles and teachings, and willingly laid down His life at the cross to pay the
penalty for our sins.
After being buried He rose again on the third day, demonstrating how only love can overcome death. Because of Jesus'
sacrifice for us, we
can look towards an eternal future because He shares His victory over death with
everyone who believes in Him.
